Formation of A-YES
The plaque was signed on Thursday, May 31, 2007 by all 10 member country representatives at the Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia overseen by the honourable Tan Sri Rozali Ismail.


A-YES Mission
A-YES is envisioned to be the avenue to strengthen the ASEAN economies and uplift the quality of lives of all its members through entrepreneurship. While upholding the principles of integrity, professionalism, cooperation and networking thru partnerships with the guidance of god.

 A-YES Objective
The ASEAN Young entrepreneur’s secretariat is established to achieve the following objectives:
  1. To establish the A-YES Secretariat
  2. To encourage co-operation pertaining to commerce at the intra – regional level amongst young entrepreneurs in ASEAN countries
  3. To facilitate smooth and better commercial relationships amongst the young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries
  4. To strengthen relationships and deepen economic linkages between and amongst the young entrepreneurs of the ASEAN countries
  5. To encourage economic efficiency and intra – regional business , trade and investment amongst the young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries
  6. To open up opportunities for business, trade and investment.
  7. To create partnership between the young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries
  8. To encourage the participation of young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries in the economy at the regional level and intra regional level.
  9. To strengthen efficiency and competitiveness amongst the young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries

A-YES Aim
The protem committee will help to guide and ensure the smooth and efficient realization of the objectives of the network.

  1. Providing an important mechanism for strengthening co-operation and supporting Young entrepreneur’s organizations of ASEAN’s initiatives within the territory of ASEAN.
  2. Ensure that governments and other relevant agencies within the ASEAN territory support the formation of A-YES.
  3. Ensuring the objectives are met and deciding what actins/activities/programs/schemes need to formulated to achieve these objectives and who will carry them out.
  4. Acting as representatives for young entrepreneurs of A-YES for their respective country.
  5. Initiating discussions either on a bilateral or multilateral basis to enhance relations amongst young entrepreneurs of ASEAN countries.
  6. Ensuring individual and collective initiatives are taken to forge relations and form partnerships in the realization of the objectives of A-YES.
  7. Initiating studies, researches, assessments on regional and intra-regional cross-border issues of trade, business and investment affecting the young entrepreneurs of the ASEAN countries.
  8. stablishing a time-frame for the implementation of the commitments agreed and the achievement f the objective.
