My
Career & Education Fair was recently officially
launched by the Parliament secretary of the Ministry
of Higher Education Malaysia. This fair is jointly
organized by My Events Sdn. Bhd. and Contact Recruitment
and is fully supported by PEMUDA UMNO, and other
government bodies.
The 3rd of July
2007 witnessed the official announcement of
Sin Chew Daily as one of the official media
partners for My Career & Education Fair
2007, thus handing over of the Certificate of
Appreciation to Sin Chew Daily. Taking the cognizance,
the belief of giving back to the community,
the organizers and Sin Chew Daily have committed
to organize a series of career development talks
in conjunction with the fair.
My Career &
Education Fair is scheduled to be held from
17-19 August and is aimed at bringing forth
job opportunities that are available in Malaysia
and abroad. Apart from being a one-stop centre
for employers and job seekers to showcase themselves
or job openings in their organizations, My Career
& Education Fair 2007 will assist to encourage
the country’s workforce to be equipped
with and relevant skills in order to stay globally
competitive.
The organizers
have set up a line of exhibitors comprising
of universities and colleges thus providing
school-leavers with opportunities to pursue
their academic dreams. The fair also aims to
encourage cooperation between the private and
government sectors to overcome unemployment
issue in Malaysia.
Speaking
on the fair, the organizing chairman En. Shahul
Hameed Dawood said, “We must use the tools
that create jobs. Opportunities for good jobs
must be available throughout the country. As
we are aware the unemployment rate among the
graduates has become a concern to the government
and to reiterate our commitment. With that,
My Career & Education Fair 2007 offers the
largest pool of opportunities held under one
roof especially benefiting local job seekers
as well as for students.”
