Today everyone in the market place wants to be their own boss due to the bountiful opportunity available in this country but could not succeed because lack of the necessary skills and international cross cultural market education and exposure. As Peter F. Drucker puts it, “It’s not magic; it’s not mysterious; and it has nothing to do with genes. It’s a discipline and, like any other discipline, it can be learned.” Such is the urgent basic need for an entrepreneur to become successful and it is especially important if Malaysia wants to establish itself as a strong and competitive nation both regionally and globally.

The National Bumiputra Entrepreneur Conference and Exhibition 2008 is therefore designed to empower aspiring Bumiputras who are hungry and who have the desire to be successful as an entrepreneur not only as their own boss but as a successful business leader for the organization they worked for. The conference will provide a platform for participant to listen and be taught from the best individual who has proven track record as an entrepreneur. Forum, workshop and discussions revolving around entrepreneurship and current business issues that is crucial to the personal development of an entrepreneur will be the talk of the day.

Developing a strong business community begins with developing vibrant entrepreneurship. As entrepreneur become more effective, their businesses thrive. These businesses generate more innovations, employment opportunities, helping the national economy to flourish.  Efficient entrepreneurial activities use resources wisely, accelerates the process of generating, diffusing and applying innovative ideas, and concepts. Successful entrepreneur or business leaders therefore will also have the ability to persuade their associates, whether business or personal to encourage change and economic growth.

Besides that, governmental agencies and private sector also play a pivotal role in encouraging enterprise creation and development let alone sustainability. These efforts include business networks, introduction of certified products, business advisory and most importantly micro credit facility which is readily available in the 21st century.

The National Bumiputra Entrepreneur Conference and Exhibition 2008 approach focuses on the entrepreneurship know-how from the theoretical and practical perspective.  The main objective here is to articulate knowledge, address issues and provide solution, on an entrepreneur perspective, in a sales-free environment.

This is one of the series of “entrepreneurship building” activities we are organizing for aspiring Malaysian Bumiputra, who would like to spare two-days to learn or relearn and connect with fellow entrepreneurs in the pursuit of excellence entrepreneurship skills, in spite of their busy time schedule.

The conference would provide them with an opportunity to gain timely, useful and applicable insights from the structured sharing and training of proven and successful entrepreneur.

Target audience
The purpose behind the Conference is to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and develop the entrepreneurial mindset; thus, we welcome a range of participants - from those with limited or no experience in the field to accomplished entrepreneurs and leaders.
